Dana Schowe

Program Director

On November 11, 2001, Becky and I opened the doors to Kids Connection Childcare Centers.  We began with 30 children in one center, and have since grown to over 180 children between two centers.  I am a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Psychology and my CDA (Child Development Associate Credential).

Raising healthy, happy children, that will make a positive contribution to society as adults, is the is the most important thing a person will ever do.  I am blessed to have the opportunity to share with our Kids Connection families and staff this awesome undertaking.

Amanda Spurgeon

Program Director

I have been with Kids Connection since its first year, and have served as Lead Teacher for two-year olds, three year-olds, and  Pre-K.  I am currently the Program Director for the Jeffersonville location.  I have earned my CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) and Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech.

I am also a member of the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children).

Felicia Chumley

Lead Teacher, Pre-K

I have been with Kids Connection for over 13 years, starting as an assistant with 2 and 3 year-olds while still attending Jeffersonville High School.  I graduated in 2003 and earned my CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) from Ivy Tech in 2005.  Prior to becoming the Lead Teacher for Red Preschool, I was the Lead Teacher for Two Year-Olds (Twoddlers).  My teaching philosophy is that children learn best through play.

Dee Crouch

Lead Teacher, Early Preschool

I have worked in Early Childhood Education for the past 13 years, having been the Lead Teacher for both the Preschool and Pre-K classes.  I believe in a team approach to teaching, and truly enjoy my work here at Kids Connection.

I have a CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) and Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Tish Neff

Bus Driver, Infant Teacher

March of 2016 marked my 12-year anniversary with Kids Connection.  I started with our School-Age kids, but have found myself working, at one time or another, with every age group at the center.  I am now responsible for center transportation and administration in the summer KC Camp program.  I am also an Infant Caregiver, and I help wherever I’m needed to make our days at Kid’s Connection run as smoothly as possible.

One of the things I like best about my job is that I know every child in the center.

I have been with Kids Connection since the opening of their second child care center in Sellersburg in 2005.  I worked at another child care facility before coming to Kid’s Connection, and have earned my CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) from Ivy Tech.
